CAA: More than 2 lakh take out rally in Aurangabad

More than two lakh people under the banner of 20 Muslim organizations and other parties include Congress on Friday took out a rally to voice their anger and protest to the Citizenship Amendment Act National Register of Citizens in Aurangabad in Maharashtra.

The organizations that participated in Friday’s massive rally were Jamiat-e-Hind, Jamathe Islami Hind, AIMIM, Muslim Awami Committee, Tameere Millat, Muslim Lawyers Forum, Doctors Forum and Raza Academy.

Congress, NCP, RJD and Samajwadi Party workers alo joined the rally.

The Aurangabad city police have deployed heavy bandobast.

Political leaders including Prakash Ambedkar, Manoj Jha, Aurangabad MP Imtiyaz Jaleel addressed the protesters.

The protesters chant slogans against Islamophobia and anti-Muslim laws, they also read out sections of the constitution and carry pictures of independence heroes BR Ambedkar who led the drafting of the constitution and Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi.
