PM Modi in Telangana, CM KCR skips Modi-show again

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has declined the invitation to attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s event on Saturday, which is scheduled to inaugurate multiple development projects in the poll-bound state.

Rao skipped the welcoming of Modi at the Begumpet airport and sent BRS Minister Talasani Srinivas on the government’s behalf.

The Prime Minister will reach Secunderabad Railway Station and flag off the Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat Express. At 12:15 PM, he will attend a public function at Parade Ground, news agency PTI reported.

This is not the first time when CM KCR has missed PM Modi’s event in Telangana. KCR also skipped Prime Minister Modi’s event in February last year.

KCR’s Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) also tweeted a post questioning PM Modi’s ‘biased nature’ towards Telangana on Saturday. The tweet said, “Why is Prime Minister Narendra Modi biased against our Telangana state? The Telangana community is condemning the Prime Minister.”
