Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) national secretariat held at Bengaluru on 19 January observed that the land on which the Ram temple has been built is the Waqf land of Babri Masjid and it will remain so, despite the construction of a temple on the land.

The student community of Film and Television Institute of India (FTIl) resonates with a vehement condemnation of the Government of India's recent declaration of a half-day holiday on January 22, 2024, in celebration of Ram Lalla Pratishtha at Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, said the Film and Television Institute of India Students’ Association (FTIISA).

In November 2019, the Supreme Court of India ruled that the site in Ayodhya in northern India, where Hindutva mobs destroyed Babri Masjid, a 460-year-old mosque in 1992, must be handed over to a trust to oversee the construction of a Hindu temple.

Referring to Ram Temple in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya, DMK leader and Tamil Nadu minister Udhayanidhi Stalin on Thursday said his party is not in agreement with a temple that was constructed after demolishing a mosque.

In Kerala, the award-winning singer-composer Sooraj Santhosh faced a hate campaign from Hindu nationalists and groups for criticising legendary playback singer K.S. Chithra's endorsement of reciting the Ram mantra and lighting a lamp on the day of the Ram Temple consecration in Ayodhya.

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi emphasised on Wednesday that he will persistently remind people about December 6, the day when the Hindutva mob demolished the historic Babri Masjid in Uttar Pradesh.
