Hamas says it repelled Israeli ground attack near Khan Younis

The Qassam Brigades, Hamas’s military wing, says it has repelled an Israeli ground attack near Khan Younis in the Gaza Strip, destroying an Israeli tank and two bulldozers, Al Jazeera reported.

“…fighters engaged an armored Israeli force in a well-prepared ambush to the east of Khan Yunis, just moments after it crossed the border by a few meters,” said Qassam Brigades in a statement on the Telegram messaging app.

“The fighters bravely engaged with the infiltrating force … and they returned to their bases safely,” the statement further noted.

There were no official Israeli statements on the matter.

At least 4,651 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza since the Hamas attack inside Israel with more than 14,000 wounded. More than 1,400 people in Israel have been killed.

In another instance, Israeli soldiers run back to Israel after attempting to fix separation fence with Gaza.

About an hour ago, Israeli forces tried to get into the Gaza Strip in order to fix the separation fence between Gaza and Israel, Al Jazeera reported.

Since they entered the Strip, they have fallen into a trap made by the Palestinians. This military ambush was hard for the Israelis. They came directly under the Palestinians fighters’ fire.

According to Israeli forces, this military attack was critical. The soldiers managed to run away being trapped by the Palestinian fighters.
