Palestine solidarity protest: Dozens detained by Delhi Police

Dozens of student leaders and rights activists were detained by Delhi Police today while protesting Israeli occupation’s violence against Palestinians in the national capital.

“We are being taken to Jafarpur police station. Almost 40 to 45 protesters are here,” Ansab Amir, Fraternity Movement national executive committee member, told Maktoob.

Over 200 protesters were detained so far.

The protest was called by various student organizations, including the Students Islamic Organisation of India and the Fraternity Movement, along with civil rights groups.

Among the detainees are Ramees EK, the national president of SIO, Asim Khan, the national president of Fraternity Movement.
