Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh said he is confident in Palestinians’ ability to outlast the Israeli offensive on Gaza and emerge victorious from the war – “without an iota of doubt.”

“If the enemy wants it to be a long battle, our capacity is even longer,” Haniyeh said on Thursday.

Haniyeh claimed that after weeks of war and despite the “barbaric” Israeli attacks on civilians, the Palestinian people have foiled Israel’s plans.

These plans have fallen, and the enemy has not been able to achieve any of its goals or return its captives except for the price that the resistance decides,” he said.

In his speech, he thanked regional allies for their support during the war, without naming them.

“I salute the resistance fronts that have contributed to this battle through strategic balance,” Haniyeh said.
