Left parties have called for protest against “United States Imperialism,” demanding an immediate ceasefire and an end to US financing, arming, and support for the Israeli defense forces’ actions against Palestinians.
This protest is in response to the visit of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin to India for the 2+2 Ministerial dialogue with Indian Defense and External Affairs ministers.
In a joint statement by CPI(M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury, CPI general secretary D Raja, AIFB general secretary G Devarajan, CPI(ML)-Liberation general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya and RSP general secretary Manoj Bhattacharya, have called upon the Narendra Modi government to stop endorsing the US-Israeli genocide of Palestinians and to join the global call for an immediate ceasefire.
The state units of the left parties will decide the modalities of these protest actions in respective states, the leaders said.
